Traci Messier is the Vice President of Communications and External Affairs for the Atlanta Dream, the Southeast’s only WNBA team. In her role, she oversees all communications for the Dream including basketball and corporate communications. Before joining the Dream, she served as director of corporate communications for the U.S. Soccer Federation.

Previously, Traci was at Jackson Spalding, a marketing communications agency in Atlanta. There she worked on some of Atlanta’s most high-profile sports events including the openings of Truist Park and the College Football Hall of Fame, the MLS All-Star Game, the College Football Playoff National Championship, Super Bowl LIII, the Final Four and the TOUR Championship.

Prior to moving into public relations, Traci was a TV sports anchor and reporter for more than a decade, winning a regional Edward R. Murrow award for her reporting. Traci is an alumna of the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. She is a board member of Sunshine on a Ranney Day and the Bobby Jones Golf Course and lives in Sandy Springs with her husband and two rescue dogs.
