Speaker Bio
Dr. Lough is a nationally recognized expert on sport marketing, sponsorship, leadership development, and gender parity within sport organizations. Her teaching and research have focused on the economic value of women leaders, marketing sport, and advancing the business case for women’s sport. Dr. Lough leads the academic arm of the UNLV Sport Innovation Institute and in 2021 she founded UNLV’s Intercollegiate and Professional Sport Management graduate degree program. Previously, Dr. Lough worked for the Dallas Cowboys, the US Olympic Training Center, as the host for an NCAA National Championship, as a high school and college coach, an NCAA athletic administrator, President of the Sport Marketing Association and faculty in Ohio, Iowa, New Mexico, Colorado and Nevada. She is also the namesake of the Sport Marketing Association’s Lough Award given for mentorship and excellence in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in sport.
