Speaker Bio
Yvonne Wade is a former Olympic hurdler and eight-time Japanese national champion, and competed for Japan at the 1996 and 2000 Summer Games. She was also an NCAA All-American and Hall of Fame inductee at the University of Colorado. Beyond competition, Yvonne has served in college athletics for over 2 decades and recently made history as the inaugural Director of Athletics at Nevada State University. Prior to her role at NSU, she served as the Director of Athletics at the College of Southern Nevada, and spent 14 years as the Director of Track and Field and Cross Country at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she was a three-time Mountain West Coach of the Year. Her teams earned multiple conference titles and produced NCAA Championship qualifiers, Olympians, and consistent academic honors. She serves on several boards and is deeply committed to mentorship and youth development, working to ensure student-athletes thrive both on the field and beyond.
