Dr. Michelle Paul is the Workday Endowed Executive Director of UNLV Partnership for Research, Assessment, Counseling, Therapy and Innovative Clinical Education (UNLV PRACTICE), an interdisciplinary mental and behavioral health institute formally recognized by the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE). UNLV PRACTICE serves as both a clinical training facility and a hub for workforce development, delivering services to campus and community members while supporting the collaborative infrastructure of multiple behavioral health programs at UNLV.
Dr. Paul also serves as Assistant Vice President of Mental and Behavioral Health at UNLV, where she leads the implementation of a university-wide strategic plan to integrate behavioral and physical health training under the UNLV Academic Health Initiative. This institutional effort aims to position UNLV as a national model for collaborative, interdisciplinary health training—advancing Nevada’s capacity to meet its mental health workforce and service needs.
Her recent legislative advocacy helped secure passage of Senate Bills 165 and 353, which fund and expand behavioral health workforce development initiatives across the state. In recognition of her leadership, the Nevada Legislature issued a proclamation honoring the contributions of UNLV PRACTICE to Nevada’s behavioral health system.
A licensed psychologist since 1999, Dr. Paul previously served nearly two decades on the faculty of UNLV’s APA-accredited Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program. She is past president of the Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners and currently serves as Past President of the Board of Directors for the international Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB).
