Arpin is the managing partner of the Las Vegas office of KPMG, a Big 4 accounting firm, and serves as their US gaming industry leader.
Rick is a recognized gaming expert, having been in the industry for 30 years. He has been an auditor and consultant serving the largest gaming companies and held numerous roles at MGM Resorts spanning 15 years. Several of his roles centered around innovative practices around automation, data and processes.
He spent his last several years at MGM leading the corporate sports and entertainment function, where he led the development and opening of T-Mobile Arena and helped the company evaluate emerging areas like esports and sports betting. Rick joined KPMG in 2020 to lead the Las Vegas office and build the firm's capabilities and leadership in the gaming industry.
Rick is a Las Vegas native who graduated from UNLV in 1995. He was the 2023 Alumnus of the Year for the Lee Business School, and has supported the University, Lee Business School and the Accounting Department in a variety of ways, including serving on the Advisory Board for the Graduate College and the Accounting Department. He recently lent his story to the verbal history of sports in Las Vegas for the UNLV Libraries Special Collections.
